What is VoIP?
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), is a technology that allows you to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line. Hosted VoIP is simply the most flexible, feature rich phone solution available for businesses today. VoIP eliminates the complexity of a traditional phone company and provides many more features.

How Voice over IP Works
When you are using an VoIP phone system, your voice is translated into digital data packets that are then routed over a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) based Local Area Network (LAN) to the VoIP phone system. The VoIP phone system then routes your call to an appropriate destination determined by the phone number you have dialed. If you are calling a regular phone number, the signal is converted to a regular telephone signal before it reaches the destination. You have the flexibility to call other VoIP phones or traditional analog phones.

VoIP Hardware
VoIP gives you the options to call directly from a computer, a special VoIP phone, or a traditional phone connected to a special adapter. There is a large array of VoIP phones availble to suit your specific business needs. Whether you have 10 or 1000 employees, there is a VoIP phone system that is right for you.

IP Extensions
One of the key features of a VoIP Phone System is the support for IP telephone extensions.  VoIP telephones do not require separate dedicated cables to run from the phone to the phone system, instead they utilize the same ethernet data network infrastructure used by most computers.  Moves, adds, and changes are easy because VoIP telephones can exist anywhere via the Internet.

Mobility
VoIP phones enable your employees to work from remote employee environments, like home offices and remote branch offices, anywhere where broadband Internet access is available. WiFi hotspots also provide VoIP access points for your employees as they travel or meet with associates.

Lower Costs
Traditional phone services are either monopolies or government entites. VoIP phone systems cut out the fees that these bureaocracies generate and provide the service to you directly. If you would like increased mobility, more features, dependable service and more money in your pocket, then a VoIP phone system is right for you.

Piece of Mind
In the event of disaster, and you must temporarily relocate, you can maintain communication with your clients by using your phone from any location that has Internet access.

Support
If you need support or have a question, you simply call us. VoIP eliminates the need for you to figure out who to call and then sit on hold for 30 minutes. If you are tired of dealing with your phone company, give us a call and we can tell you more about the freedom a VoIP phone system can provide for you and your employees.
