Problem:

Symantec System Recovery errors out with the floowing error code:

Error EC8F1C25: bad allocation

Solution:

One of these may fix the error.

1. From the services control panel try restarting the "Backup Exec System Recovery" service.
2. Reboot the server. If step one doesn't work.
3. Check your drives for possible errors by running chkdsk.
4. Obtain the latest patches from Symantec. There may be a memory leak in the Symantec System Recovery code. It should be fixed in version 7.03 or later
