Domain Renewal Group Is A SCAM! E-mail
Domain Renewal Group - Ripping You OFF?

If you get a domain renewal notice from Domain Renewal Group that lists domains you actually own don't respond. Press delete on your keyboard and have a good day.

This is a scam, Domain Renewal Group is trying to trick you into transferring your existing domain(s) from your reputable registrar to the Domain Renewal Group. This is nothing but a scam.

Here's how I ran this down, well other than just knowing it was a scam from seeing so many of these.

First: The second line in the form states:

"When you switch to the Domain Renewal Group"

OK, switch? I don't want to switch. So here's the key, the word switch. Why would you switch? Because you want to get scammed that's why. Or maybe your admin is just doing their job and keeping everything up to date and paid for. OOPS!

Second Thing I Did

I opened up Google Earth and punched in the business address for The Domain Renewal Group which is:

2316 Delaware Avenue #266
Buffalo, New York 14216-2687

That immediately led me to a UPS store, you know the ones that are always featured on 60 minutes because some scammer is using it as his business address.

Then I switched to Google Street view to have a look around at the neighborhood
because at this point I'm sure this is going to be a very nice area of town! Yea, right! Check the image below for where this upstanding institution is located.

Would you give these guys your credit card number? I think not.

Please press the delete key and move along with your day having just avoided yet another internet scam (YAIC).

Regards,
Glenn
